Our congregation is joining eight other faith communities to support PRC’s annual Back-to-School Drive and help more than 1,200 local students start the school year with confidence and the supplies they need to succeed. You can support this meaningful multi-faith effort by donating new school supplies. A collection box will be available inside our parking lot doors through July 28th. The full list of needed supplies can be found here. We also invite you to join a hands-on volunteer opportunity on July 28 at PRC in Wheaton (map) from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. to sort and organize donations. If you would like to join the volunteer team, please contact sign up below. Space is limited! Thank you for helping local students begin the new school year prepared, encouraged, and ready to thrive.

A powerful new partnership is bringing the community together for this year’s annual Juneteenth celebration. The Glen Ellyn Interfaith Prayer Foundation (the team behind the community Prayer Breakfast) has officially joined forces with Peoples Community Church to host a unified celebration. Moving away from separate summer concerts, this collaboration aims to combine resources, spirits, and voices for a singular, deeply meaningful commemoration. Dr. James E. Shannon, Senior Pastor of Peoples Community Church and a prominent leader within the Glen Ellyn community, recently shared the highly anticipated event flyer with local congregations to invite everyone to take part in this joyous milestone.
The harvest season is ramping up as tomatoes, basil, zucchinis and more are harvested and donated by our Eden Project gardeners. Last year, donated 402 pounds of produce to local food pantries! Even if you have not formally signed up as an Eden Project gardener, we invite anyone who is experiencing an explosion of veggies, herbs, or fruits from their home gardens or orchards to drop off their extra produce at the church on Sunday mornings for the Glen House Food Pantry or at the local food pantry of your choice. Questions? Contact Katie.
Thank you for caring for your neighbors!
