Breaking Bread Together


All Church Dinners (Oct.-May) – An all-age fellowship evening beginning in Pilgrim Hall with a dinner, provided by our Kitchen Chix, and followed by program or worship. So our cooks know how much food to prepare, please watch for the monthly sign-up sheet in the Lobby.

Ladies in the Loop Holiday Tea –  (December) This women’s group is open to anyone working in Chicago (or anyone who would like to hop the train) to get together for lunch and lively conversation. Read more.  Contact Celia Rodee (630.545.1854) to be added to the email list.


Men’s Lunch (Monthly) The men of the church meet on the first Wednesday of every month at the Seven Dwarfs Restaurant on Roosevelt Road at 11:30 a.m. There is no planned program other than fellowship and good social conversation. The group varies in size from 15 to 20 with about half the group changing each month. Contact Ed Kolar (630.858.4034).


Progressive Dinner (Nov) An evening of fun begins with appetizers in one home, dinner in a second and dessert at a third as church adults come together for food, fun and fellowship. Contact Nicole Baedke (630.790.0773).

Men’s Retreat (Oct) The Men’s Retreat is held annually at Tower Hill Camp in Sawyer, MI. It is a time to relax and grow, worship and explore, and renew your spirit. Make new friends as you play golf, hike in the woods or walk the beach. The program is always entertaining, the food is delicious, and the fellowship is rewarding. Contact Ernie Wright (630.469.4913).


Tower Hill Weekend (July 14-17, 2017) – A weekend of fun family time at UCC Tower Hill Camp in Sawyer, MI. Families choose to either camp or lodge and can enjoy swimming, playing in the sand, climbing the dunes, star-gazing, and time with family and friends.Contact Cathy Basso (630.469.3096 X 19).
