Lux Cantorum Chicago presents: Gospel Extravaganza! We highlight the rich heritage of gospel music’s powerful vocals, soulful melodies, inspirational messages, and enthusiastic rhythms. Our tribute to gospel music welcomes a spiritual experience with a wide range of gospel music styles, and celebrates a faith and culture that is enriching and entertaining! Featuring works by Robert Ray, CeCe Winans, Mark Hayes, M. Roger Holland II, and more. Enjoy a $5 discount by purchasing tickets in advance (prior to day of concert).
Our choir is headed to Ireland in June and will be delighting us with a concert of their music on May 21st. But that’s not all! We will be featuring professional Irish musicians who will deliver rollicking traditional Irish music. It’ll be the craic!

The FCCGE Choir sings a variety of musical styles and performs in worship on a regular basis.
Rehearsals: Thursdays, 7:00-8:30 pm.
The Handbell Choir, directed by Matthew Prins , is open to 6th graders through adults. The ability to read music is very helpful, but ringing experience is not a pre-requisite.
Rehearsals: Tuesdays, 7:15 to 8:30 p.m.

Soloists and ensembles are invited to share their talents during Sunday morning worship services.
On special occasions, we invite players to participate in a large ensemble, such as an orchestra.

We use the prayerful and repetitive music from the Taizé community of France.

The Recorder Ensemble is a group of adult musicians who play recorders of all sizes and perform many styles of music. The group meets on an occasional basis.
