The Gift of Language

Literacy DuPage, a part of DuPage United, seeks volunteers to tutor adults in English. More than 100,000 DuPage County residents need help improving their English skills. Empowering an adult with language will change that person’s life-and yours, too. No foreign language or teaching experience needed. Just time and heart.

The DuPage County Health Department Announces the Formation of a New Behavioral Health Crisis Center

On Tuesday, March 28, 2023, the DuPage County Health Department announced the formation of a Behavioral Health Crisis Center, with comprehensive crisis stabilization services. Once completed, residents in crisis will be transported to the Crisis Center and treated by mental health and substance abuse professionals, avoiding crowded hospital emergency rooms or jail.

DuPage United will continue to work alongside the DuPage County Health Department and our elected officials to assure these services, and the needed wrap-around services such as affordable housing, become a reality for all of our DuPage County neighbors.  Contact Roger Hughes with questions.
