thirdSacred Ground Film Series
Last year, we invited you to a year-long film-based dialogue series on race called Sacred Ground. This series was designed for our times and is an attempt to respond to the profound challenges of our current times surrounding race and racism, and hopes to foster the difficult but respectful and transformative dialogue we need to have with each other about them. We walked back in history to peel away the layers that have brought us to today, and shaped our collective story. The series, which occurred monthly, was built around powerful documentary films and readings which we hope will serve as a jumping off point for discussion. We focused on race in general, as it coincides with immigration issues, whiteness, black, and indigenous peoples as well as others.
On the third Wednesday of the Month, we will once again gather in Pilgrim Hall for a light supper, film, and discussion. Families are welcome and childcare will be available with pre-registration.
