Rebuilding Together Ministry Team

REBUILDING TOGETHER MINISTRY TEAM

Rebuilding Together is the nation’s leading non-profit organization providing critical home repairs, modifications and improvements for America’s low-income homeowners. We rebuild the homes and lives of the nation’s most vulnerable homeowners and families at no cost to those served. Our work extends beyond the four walls of a home to impact the health and vibrancy of entire communities.

For  24 years, First Congregational has worked in partnership with metro Chicago Rebuilding Together through its Rebuilding Together Ministry Team, comprised of adults and youth who volunteer to perform home improvements. Our team’s hard work enabled a single mom and her two adopted children to continue living in their home, an older man to live safely in his beloved home and many other projects.

REBUILDING TOGETHER MAY 22, 2021

Rebuilding Together is back again, but with several changes. This year the National Rebuilding Day will be exterior work only; landscaping, lawn care, and some if any repairs on the exterior of the house. Two hours will be the allotted time to complete the work. Only 5 volunteers will be allowed. We need three more volunteers for the day. The event is in Chicago Heights.  Of course, all volunteers will need to be masked and follow social distancing guidelines. If this sounds like something that you would like to participate in, please send a text to Randy Briasco (630-251-3551). Also, there are other events that Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago (RBTMC) has put together, such as delivering food and first aid kits. If you would like to help in that way, please visit their website . Hope to hear from you soon!
